Christopher Barnes won the Northern Arts Writers Award in 1998, and published his debut poetry collection LOVEBITES in 2005 (Chanticleer Press). He worked on the collaborative art and literature project How Gay Are Your Genes, facilitated by poet Lisa Mathews, exhibited at The Hatton Gallery, Newcastle University. His The Holiday I Never Had was recorded by The South Bank Centre in London. He has been published in various places, including Jacket and Poetry Scotland. He lives in Newcastle, UK.
