Parker Tettleton – 2 poems

Memory Is Mostly

I ask for one out of every three years. The second sentence answers in blinks. You’re cat-to-chest in front of a screen featuring other people. It’s window or continue. We look for everywhere else.

You’re out-of-state – approximately anywhere air; I sweat carpet in the dark. The second sentence is as long as we’re living it. The thing is sadness. The thing about sadness is surgery. I can’t begin a sentence I haven’t lived.

Parker Tettleton’s work is featured in &/or forthcoming from elimae, Mud Luscious, Gargoyle, em:me & The Conium Review, among others. His second collection, Greens, is available from Thunderclap! Press. More or less is here.
